The Kiters paradise Cumbuco is originally a small fishing village, surrounded by lagoons and wonderful dunes. The wide sandy beach is seamed with coconut trees for lots of kilometers.

Every morning the fishermen are sailing to the open sea with theire tradicinal boats called Jangadas, and comeing back with lobsters, Shrimps, Tunas or Red Snapper.

The village of Cumbuco presents still a certain charm and offers what you need for vacations: restaurants, bars, supermarkets and other storea for handycraft and Kite wear and Kite stuff.

In the evening you can enjoy a tasty Caipirinha on the beach and admire the tropical starry sky. If you have some energy left after a day of goog Kitesurf, you can go to the big city Fortaleza and can have party mostly every night - the whole night long. Fortaleza is about 30 km away from Fortaleza and has a really fascinating night life

Many Kitesurfers are comeing back to Cumbuco every year, due to several reasons: the perfect wind for Kitesurfing, the sunny warm climate, the nice landscape, the food and the fitting prices – last but not least due to the friendly and helpful people. Geography and position

The small village of Cumbuco is located, in the state of Ceará, in the northeast of Brasil. It is situated a little under the equator, in the southern latitudes between 2º46´ and 7º52´. In Ceara, there are about 7.5 Million people, of such, 2.6 Million are living in Fortaleza, the state capital. The village of Cumbuco, about 35Km from Fortaleza, belongs to the municipality of Caucaia. Vacations are fantastic in these wild, often untouched beaches, with sunny, warm weather almost all year long, completed with its interesting cultural and historic traditions, as well as the beauty of nearby mountains.

Due to the position in the northeast of Brazil you can reach Cumbuco via Fortaleza from Europe in just 6.5 houra of flight. The time-lag varies between four or five hours, you will only have a small jet-lag and can enjoy your kite-holidays from the first day.
