SUNSET COAST

The coast to the west of Fortaleza is known as Sunset Coast, it is characterised by huges sand dunes which covers the coastline for miles and miles. There are fixed dunes, with some sediment stone and vegetation, and more recent moving dunes. Amidst the dunes, it is common to find small lagoons, giving shape to beautiful unexpected landscapes.

You can explore beaches like Pecem, Taiba, Lagoinha and Paracuru during a daytrip. Paracuru is a must. On low tide you have a big flat water area and with coming flow and higher tides you can find big wave over the reef.
